Attention Burglars: Here is the alarm

So while visiting my bank today, I noticed a shiny metal box on the side of the building clearly marked as "Burglar Alarm". I hope for the sake of sanity, that's not REALLY the burglar alarm, but rather just a shiny box to trick stupid thieves and make us customers feel safer.

I would consider it enough to have a sign on the door perhaps that clearly states there is an alarm INSIDE the building.

But yeah, you are right. I still wonder how you could resist the urge to "accidentally" test it, though ... one needs to know if a well hidden sock beats a shiny metal box.

It is likely one of a few audible deterrents, however, the main security of the premises will rely upon an alarm being sent over the phone, internet or cellular to an monitoring service who will call the local police or response company.

LOL too rich.
Typically it would be the name of a fire and or security larm manufacturer. Fci-Gamewell, Cooper, Simplex and so on.
When they say "burglar alarm on the side of them... they are fake.

How's that for Sanity ?
