Self proclaimed security expert

I tend to read a fairly large number of new stories per day, with a focus on information security news. It seems in the past year or so, there are a LOT more Security Experts(tm) than there ever were in the past.

I found this story yesterday:

Today it was linked from the site LinuxSecurity.com. I'm going to hope this is some very bad quoting by a reporter. If not, I find the comments in the story based off some very silly assumptions.

I don't even know how I can comment on this story. I am at a complete loss as it just doesn't make sense. This is like reading an article that claims to review a car, but is really about a baseball bat, yet the reporter thinks it's a car.
