The real thing to keep in mind though is how many of these technologies being spoken of at the RSA conference will actually see the light of day? I can't even guess the number of technologies I've heard of at trade shows that were never heard from again. Open source seems to have the advantage of actually producing results. If someone has a good idea, they do it rather than talk about how great of an idea it is.
I can only imagine what the world would look like if the marketing departments could program
