So yesterday I became a father. My rather healthy son, Jackson Allen Bressers, was born at 14:23 EDT after many many hours of labor (that's labour for you UK folks), to my wife's relief (he was 9lbs 9oz (4.3Kg)) he showed up. At the same time there was a Firefox security update coming out. One of the tasks I managed to actually volunteer for is handling the browser security updates at Red Hat. Normally that causes me several days (and nights) of putting out fires as every time we update them something seems to go wrong. While part of me was rather happy, I was a bit concerned as it's a daunting task.
Mark handled things wonderfully though.
At this same time, my co-lo VPS yacked. I don't mean like it sort of crashed, the VPS disk (which I'm told had a RAID-10 array) lost the whole array. So last night I was up rather late restoring data (such as this incredible source of drivel I call a blog), so I can send out an email to friends and family with pictures and the like.
While the day probably could have gone better, I really can't complain too much
